GM NOTE - Fesic's PRANK!!! After dinner, Fesic decided it was time to check the gear he'd used while trying to save Emkir. He cleaned, inspected and repacked the climbing spikes and hammer because they were fine. He then tried to re-coil the cord he had, but found he couldn't get it as tight and compact as it had been. That meant he had to look for someone who had a machine to re-coil the cord so it could be stored properly. After a few minutes consideration, Fesic smirked to himself and also grabbed the belt-mountable first aid kit he'd bought in "Hunting World" on Regina. As he did, the silver thread sewn into the kit glinted with the name of the place. Hiding that with the cord coil, Fesic told the others he was going to get some help with the cord. Fesic then went in looking for some port workers from the berth engineering crew. It didn't take him long before he found someone to talk to and Fesic said he had a couple of favors to ask.

First, Fesic showed the man his cord and explained what he needed. Rewinding the cord was an easy thing and the man did that for no charge, because they’d also heard about Emkir and it was the least he could do for Fesic. Fesic next showed him the med-kit and said he wondered if It could be “re-covered” in black, with the standard red and white markings? Fesic added that he also wanted it labeled "NINJA Medical Kit" in red. After that, Fesic said he wanted that put in a crew member’s room while they were all out of the berth. The tech said that would be easy to do, and said it would cost him Cr 30. Last, Fesic asked if the berth crew were responsible for the appliances or if they were just bought and placed in the berths? When the tech asked why, Fesic said he had a more involved prank he wanted to play on the entire crew.

He then explained to the tech that he wanted a toaster to be re-engineered so it would accept bread as normal, but eject it from the bottom of the toaster. The tech only thought Fesic was odd and needed to understand entertainment better, but he said he could do that. Fesic also said the table top the toaster was on would have to be modified, with a metal catch basket into which the toast would fall. The tech said he’d have to mount spindle-mounted tines on the toaster’s bottom that would catch the falling bread when it was put in the toaster. It would then turn to clear the "under-toaster path" when the bread was toasted and released, so it would fall into the basket. Fesic also wanted the toaster to make a toilet flushing sound when it released the toast. The tech nodded and said he could do that, and swap it with the one in the berth. He told Fesic it would cost Cr 70 for the toaster prank. Fesic accepted that and paid the man Cr 100 for both pranks. Fesic then returned to the others after having paid the man and carrying the newly and tightly coiled cord. When he got back Fesic repacked the cord and then joined the crew again.

A spokesbeing for the Naval base command stated that the Oberlindes liner Voureiel had arrived in the Phlume system carrying those passengers rescued from the wreck of the IMS King George by the crew of the IMS Upgrade and Lady Mikah Kirlim. In a brief release, the ship's master stated they had left the Arden system on the 8^th day of the year and made no contact with the ISS Ranaza. It was also reported they had left before the IMS Upgrade, and did not contact that ship's crew since it seemed they had become involved in some political mischief in that system. Further reports from the Voureiel were blacked out by Imperial authorities in that system until the ship could complete its transit to the Regina system and the matter be properly managed there.
